Bogaro & Clemente was estabilished on 1986 by Vittorio Clemente and Edi Bogaro. We work in the stringed instrument field, producing accessories for bows and bowed instruments. Bogaro & Clemente is unique in that all of our products are handcrafted from primary materials such as exotic woods, mother-of-pearl, gold, and silver, in our workshop in North Eastern Italy. The flexibility made possible by this approach means that we are able to produce any type of accessory in different shapes and forms, based on the diverse and changing demands of our clients. In the early years, we produced only accessories for bows, such as frogs and buttons. Over time, however, we have expanded our product range to include fine fittings for stringed instruments, made from woods like pernambuco, boxwood, ebony, rosewood and snakewood.
In addition, we produce small tools for violin and bow makers. Most recently, we began producing a small violin-shaped box from root of tuja wood, with the precise, to-scale shape of Stradivarius's famed interior form. These boxes contain our own high-quality rosin, which is based on an old Italian recipe. Our rosin boxes can be engraved with a violin maker's or shop's stamp, which transforms them into a lovely gift or promotional item. Finally, Bogaro & Clemente offers a variety of stringed instrument accessories from the most reputable firms, along with a wide range of student bows. A further article of a great success is a ultralight carbon fiber case for cello.
